Sophia Veronese-Milin

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Sophia started dancing at the age of five. She started her training at San Francisco Ballet under the direction of Patrick Armand and Paris Opera Ballet with full scholarship. In 2018 she graduated from San Francisco Ballet, then joined Bolshoi Ballet in Moscow as a trainee and, under the direction of Marina Leonova and Maya Ivanova, passed with honors the exams in classical and contemporary dance. Sophia has also worked as choreographer in collaboration with the Crowden Center for the Arts, Berkley on several pieces performed in San Francisco.

For two seasons starting in 2021, she was a trainee with English National Ballet in London. She has performed works of Helgi Tomasson, Balanchine, Nureyev, Mauro de Candia, Joseph Toonga, Dana Genshaft, Dickson Mbi, and others. She has danced various roles in Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Serenade, Star and Stripes, and other classical and contemporary works. 

While dancing Sophia received her Associate Degree in Mathematics from Harvard University, then in 2021 received her Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Los Angeles. 

This is Sophia's first season with Ballet Frontier.
