Heather started dancing at the age of four in Temecula, California, and grew up training at the Academy of Ballet Arts in ballet, contemporary, modern, character, jazz, and neoclassical movement. She joined Colorado Ballet as a Trainee in 2020 before being invited to join Colorado Ballet’s Studio Company in 2022. During her four years dancing professionally with Colorado Ballet, Ms. Ludlow had the opportunity to perform in a large selection of the company’s repertoire, including Swan Lake, Coppelia, The Nutcracker, Michael Pink’s Dracula, and Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll and Hyde. Some of her favorite roles she has performed include Swanhilda in Coppelia, Lucy in Michael Pink’s Dracula, the Sugar Plum Fairy with the Temecula Conservatory of Music, and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. 

 

In 2025, Ms. Ludlow joined Twin Cities Ballet in Minnesota as a Company Apprentice, where she performed featured roles in Loyce Houlton’s Carmina Burana and Twin Cities Ballet’s productions of Romeo and Juliet, and Narnia the Ballet. Ms. Ludlow has attended summer intensive programs internationally and across the United States with several prestigious companies, including Royal Danish Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Ballet Arizona, Colorado Ballet, and City Ballet of San Diego. 

 

Ms. Ludlow also has a passion for working with young dancers of all ages and skill levels and has been teaching for several years. She is a certified instructor in Progressing Ballet Technique and worked with the Colorado Ballet Education Department for two years.
