Abigail Richards
Abigail began her training at the age of seven, in her hometown Woodbridge, VA, at DeGrasse Dance Studio. She started summers at Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC. in 2013- 2016, becoming a full time student there for her last two years of high school and graduated level 8 on partial scholarship in 2017. At Kirov she had the opportunity to dance many roles, including Swan Lake Pas de Trois variation one and two, with Konstantin Novoselov, coached by Brian Yoo and Julia Moon and Lilac Fairy and other segments coached by Brian Yoo. During this time she also performed Sugar Plum Fairy as a guest artist in local studio performances. Abigail then joined Pittsburgh Ballet’s Graduate program where she danced on scholarship from 2017-2020. In Pittsburgh she had the opportunity to dance many roles in the Graduate program including Nutcracker Act 2 variations, New Works choreographed by Pittsburgh Ballet company dancers, Swan Lake Odette and Big Swans, Theme and Variations soloist, and Etudes principal. She also had the opportunity to dance company roles in Pittsburgh Ballet’s Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Divertimento No.15 staged by Judith Fugate, Gisselle Act 1 and 2 and Diamonds. Abigail joined Ballet Frontier in January 2021.
