Gwendolyn Nguyen
Gwendolyn Nguyen began her dance training at Artisan Ballet Company at the age of 13. In 2016, while a student at TKB Center for Ballet and Dance, she competed at the Youth American Grand Prix in Houston, TX, and placed in the top 12 for contemporary. In 2018, Ms. Nguyen participated in Houston Ballet’s summer intensive program and attended Houston Ballet Academy during her senior year of high school in 2018. After graduating, Ms. Nguyen attended Oklahoma City Ballet’s summer intensive in 2019 on a half-scholarship and was offered a position as a trainee with OKCB. Ms. Nguyen was a trainee with Oklahoma City Ballet from 2019 to 2021. While at Oklahoma City Ballet, Ms. Nguyen had many performance opportunities, including dancing alongside the company in The Nutcracker and The Little Mermaid, choreographed by Oklahoma City Ballet’s artistic director Robert Mills. Ms. Nguyen also performed in excerpts from Napoli, Swan Lake, The Firebird, and Giselle during trainee showcases and outreach performances. Ms. Nguyen joined Ballet Frontier in 2021 and has since performed in Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Endless by Lee Wei Chao, Paquita, Carmen, and The Sleeping Beauty. This is Ms. Nguyen's third season with Ballet Frontier.
