Corrina Kaltenrieder
Ms. Kaltenrieder was born raised in Northern California. She received her ballet training with full scholarships to the San Francisco Ballet School, Marin Ballet Center for Dance, and the Redwood Empire Ballet School. During her professional career she danced with the Sarasota Ballet of Florida, Tulsa Ballet Theater, and spent the last 10 years of her career with Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) where she had the pleasure of working under the direction of renowned choreographer and artistic director, Ben Stevenson O.B.E.

During her career, Ms. Kaltenrieder performed many soloist and principal roles in classics like Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Les Sylphide, Don Quixote, Walpurgis Night, and Raymonda to name of a few. She was known for her versatility as well, performing lead roles in well-known 20th century ballets such as George Balanchine’s Rubies and Serenade, Alvin Ailey’s Streams, Val Caniparoli’s Prawn Watching and Kurt Jooss’ The Green Table.
Ms. Kaltenrieder’s greatest joy during her years as a ballerina was working directly with choreographers such as Ben Stevenson, Flemming Flindt, Trey McIntyre, and Val Caniparoli. After her retirement from TBT, she pursued a career in psychiatry.
Ms. Kaltenrieder received her Doctor of Nursing practice from TCU and is a pediatric mental health nurse practitioner. She recently had the privilege of returning to the stage, performing the role of Lady Capulet with Ballet Frontier of Texas in Chung-Lin Tseng’s Romeo and Juliet. Her greatest loves are her husband, Andre Kaltenrieder, and their son Vincent.
