Miles Carrott

Born in London United Kingdom, Miles Carrott began his ballet training at the age of 4 with Emma Thompson where he performed in her ballet ‘The Princess And The Pea’. He trained as a junior associate with The Royal Ballet before joining Elmhurst Ballet School in Birmingham. While in Birmingham, Miles filmed the male classical variation for the Royal Academy of Dance DVD under Lynn Wallis. After graduating from Elmhurst Ballet School, Miles trained at the English National Ballet school. His professional career began with Northern Ballet in 2017, where he performed in the ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and Papa Bear in ‘Goldilocks And The Three Bears’ (filmed for the BBC).

 

Miles spent one year with The Welsh Ballet before moving to South Africa and joining Joburg Ballet. Miles received private training under Thabang Mabaso at Joburg Ballet. At Joburg Ballet, Miles danced the roles of Variation Man (Snow White by Iain McDonald). The Pas de Quatre (Raymonda by Guivalde Almeida), The Big Bad Wolf (Sleeping Beauty by Maina Gielgud) and The Nutcracker Prince(The Nutcracker by Angela Malan). In 2020, Miles was accepted into Cape Town City Ballet where he danced the roles of Don José (Carmen by Veronica Paeper), The Poet (Les Sylphides by Lynn Wallis), Green Man (Troy Game by Julian Moss) Charles (A Christmas Carol by Veronica Paeper), Peasant Pas de Deux (Giselle by Maina Gielgud) and Balanchine works such as the Waltz Man and Dark Angel (Serenade) and the Lead Violin Partner(Concerto Barocco).
