Madeline Wichmer was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri, where she trained at Saint Louis Ballet School and Dance Center of Kirkwood. Ms. Wichmer earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Conservatory under the direction of Paula Weber, Ronald Tice, DeeAnna Hiett, Michael Blake, David Justin, Tempe Ostergren, and Gary Abbott. While at the Conservatory, Ms. Wichmer had the opportunity to dance Helena in David Justin’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed in Les Sylphides, danced on national television in Michael Blake’s Love Awaits, performed the Pas De Deux in David Justin’s Make Our Garden Grow, and danced in the premiere of Jae Man Joo’s newest work Between Sky and Water. Ms. Wichmer has danced professionally at Kansas City Ballet in Devon Carney’s The Nutcracker and with Saint Louis Ballet in Gen Horiuchi’s Cinderella. Ms. Wichmer received additional training at summer intensives with Kansas City Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, A&A Ballet, and the Big Muddy Dance Company. Ms. Wichmer joined Ballet Frontier in 2022 and has performed in Giselle, Carmen, The Nutcracker, and Paquita. This is Ms. Wichmer's second season with Ballet Frontier.
