Born in New Taipei City,Taiwan, Sheng Ming Hsu began his ballet training at the Taipei Junior Ballet Company. In 2017, he was offered a full scholarship at The Rock School for Dance education. While attending, he won first place in the Senior Division Contemporary category as well as top 12 in the Classical category at the Youth America Grand Prix semi-finals in Philadelphia 2018. Additionally, he won first place in both Classical and Contemporary in Taiwan’s World Ballet Arts Competition semi-finals in 2018 and 2019.

After graduating from The Rock School for Dance Education in June 2019, he joined The Joffrey Ballet’s trainee program for the past three years. His performances with The Joffrey Ballet include roles in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Appalachian Spring. This is Sheng Ming's first season with Ballet Frontier.
