Astin Bryson started her ballet training at 8 years old in Poulsbo, Washington, at Liberty Bay Danceworks. Her family moved to Bulverde, Texas in 2006, where she began training at Ballet New Braunfels. Astin has performed numerous roles in Ballet New Braunfels' production of The Nutcracker (including Snow Queen, Dewdrop, Spanish, & Arabian). In addition to attending summer intensives with American Ballet Theater (Austin, TX) & the Quenedit Ballet School (San Antonio, TX), Astin has auditioned for & been accepted to intensives at the Kirov Academy of Ballet (Washington D.C.), Joffrey Workshop and Elite Ecole (San Antonio, TX), and Ballet Austin (Austin, TX). Astin trained with the Denton Dance Conservatory for 1 year when her family moved to Denton, TX in the summer of 2010. While there, she attended a master class with Body Art Dance Company and a ballet workshop with Thom Clower. Upon returning to their Bulverde home in the summer of 2011, Astin returned to her training with Ballet New Braunfels and attended contemporary & hiphop master classes with SYTYCD's Allison and tWitch. She began teaching (ballet, lyrical, & private lessons) at Ballet New Braunfels in the Fall of 2013, before moving on to teach and take classes at Cibolo City Ballet. In early 2015, she was accepted as a Trainee with Ballet Latino de San Antonio and, later that same year, was accepted as a Trainee at Ballet San Antonio, where she danced for two years. During the two years after dancing with Ballet San Antonio, Astin performed as a guest dancer with San Antonio Ballet School, performing in various roles, such as the Arabian and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker and the Evil Witch in Blanca Flor. In the year 2019, she was accepted as an Apprentice at Ballet Frontier of Texas.
